PSI Volunteer & Support

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering is a great way to support the work of PSI. It can be a stimulating and rewarding experience, and is an excellent way of providing vital services to charities where experienced statistical resource may be limited. Our team of volunteers have previously provided in-house training on statistics and helped with protocol review.

Request for Support

Many charities use data and statistics for a wide range of purposes. PSI volunteer statisticians was introduced to offer the time and skills of experienced statisticians at no cost. To be eligible, you must be a registered charity.

What is the process?

When a charity registers for support, we will contact them directly to determine what type of support is needed. We will then contact our team of volunteer statisticians in the database to see if they are available to support this request. Once a volunteer has been identified, the volunteer will then contact the charity directly to discuss further details, as well as agree a project plan and timelines.

Once the support has been completed, we will request both the charity and volunteer to share their experiences and feedback.
